The tour starts at the Ponton bridge where we walk up through the streets of Uummannaq to get to the dog park, along the way there are many exciting viewpoints and places of significance. The driver will when we get closer to the dogs start whistling his specific sound, so the dogs know he is coming and there will be a party and happy days, as the food will soon be served.
When the dogs are gorging themselves on the delicious food, the sledge driver will tell you about his many experiences with the dog, you will even have the opportunity to touch and try to sit on a real sledge with a real skin. During the summer months the puppies will run around us and you will have the opportunity to talk to them.
If you DARE you can come up to one of the BIG sled dogs and talk to him, if you are a good person they will only want the best for you.
